This simple yet effective trailer for Stanley Kubrick's adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining is itself a piece of avant garde cinema. Can you imagine a film today with a star of Jack Nicholson's fame circa 1980 not even showing any scenes of the actor at work?
Then I see this alternate version of the trailer and I get the warm fuzzies.
Makes you wish Kubrick figured away to get Peter Gaberial's "Solsbury Hill" on the soundtrack doesn't it?
